Absolute results are low overall and RUSAL’s results are largely dependent on the commitments it has made, including to prevent bribery and corruption and ensure safe and healthy working conditions.

RUSAL shows a relatively stronger result on the issue of tracking the effectiveness of its whistleblowing mechanism. The company discloses information on the actions taken in response to the concerns raised and shows evidence of having reviewed the effectiveness of this whistleblowing mechanism.

The company shows evidence of improvement since the RMI Report 2022, including by formally committing to respect human rights in compliance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and by disclosing information on the tax benefits and holidays the company receives.

The overall results of the seven RUSAL mine sites included in the mine-site assessment are strikingly weak. None of these seven mine sites show any relevant evidence on any of the fifteen issues covered.
