In addition, as a result of its Biodiversity Policy, the company shows the stronger result on the issues of committing to not explore or mine in World Heritage Sites and to not use practices that would threaten freshwater, marine, and deep-sea habitats.

OCP Group’s results match or exceed the average across the 40 companies in three other thematic areas, Lifecycle Management, Community Wellbeing and Working Conditions. OCP Group’s overall results are limited by a lack of evidence of action on a number of key issues. For example, there is little evidence of the company having assigned responsibility for operationalising its commitment to prevent bribery and corruption, or of having disclosing information on the location and safety of its tailings storage facilities. In addition, there is no evidence that the OCP Group has identified and addressed how climate change can exacerbate the impacts of its operations on the environment.
